"Waiting time in A & E"

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

Turned up with a sore eye at A & E. Was seen promptly by triage nurse and sat in waiting room. The waiting room was grubby and had litter on seats. Toilets were not as clean as they could be. Drinks vending machine worked occasionally but several people couldn't get a drink from it. I was finally treated by a nurse over three and a half hours later. I had a corneal abrasion and I was then quickly processed, medicated and dispatched. The staff on the "coal face" are always pleasant hardworking individuals but they must be as frustrated as the patients at these unacceptable patient waiting times.
