"Hospital feedback"

About: Tameside General Hospital

My 76 year old mother has been waiting for over 18 months for a knee replacement she has been sent all over tameside for different tests which as she can hardly walk is ridiculous. she was contacted two weeks ago and informed she is now going private due to her wait she has had no further contact ! on contacting her consultant's secretary she has been told there is nothing they can do as she has been taken off there list, she could not inform her who or where she should contact ? This experience has been a total nightmare !

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment, without specific details it is really difficult to comment on this situation. This is not the standard of care we expect for our patients. If you would like to get in touch we will be able to look at the concerns you have raised. Please contact Helen Howard (Matron for Patient Experience ) on 0161 922 4652

‘’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at
