"Instead of self harming, I work with the staff to do something constructive"

I have been in Rampton a few years, in the last couple of years Topaz team have helped me to take more responsibilities for my own actions and behaviours giving me the trust I have wanted for so long. I’m now able to prove to myself and others who I can be. The team on Topaz help me to be safe with items in my room. Instead of self harming, I work with the staff to do something constructive instead of destructive. Most of the nurses on here have know me since I came to Rampton and are always telling me how far I’ve come and what I have acheved especially on the days I feel I have come nowhere. Hopefully in a few years time I will leave Rampton but until that day I know I will have Team Topaz's help, support and guidance. I have come a long way and so has Topaz as a ward. Thankfully both of these for the better. I would not have been able to say these words if it wasn’t for the whole team
