I was involved in a RTA and was bumped from behind. Sustained a jolt which caused me great pain in my epiglottis area in my neck. I visited minor injuries unit Goole within seven hours with increasing neck pain with difficulty swallowing. Seen by triage nurse who I informed that I could not take anti- inflammatories. I was not asked any of my medical or drug history regarding, my condition. In fact I take drugs that are contra indicators with anti inflammatories. The doctor quickly looked at my neck and did a cursory feel then said for me to take paracetamol and brufen!. It was written on my triage that I could not take such drugs.!!.. I am not impressed. I have been a nursing sister now retired for 30 yrs. therefore I feel more thorough examinations and drug reviews are essential in future.
"Minor injuries visit - not impressed."
