"Left happy after short stay in hospital"

I had occasion to be taken into hospital by ambulance one weekend. I was in overnight on what used to be ward 3. I cannot commend all staff enough from my delivery to a&e to my move to the ward. The attention to detail from staff from doctors to nursing staff to cleaners I found was top class.

In these days when a lot of hospitals are pulled down in the media for lack of cleanliness and uncaring nurses etc, I found in my short stay at Durham staff were very caring and attentive, the cleaners on the 4 bed ward I was on were meticulous in their cleaning.

And the food... I have often when I have had cause to be in hospital before found the food not very palatable but I was treated to a Sunday lunch which was quite nice. All in all, although I was taken with a scare, I left happily the next day feeling I was well looked after from entering to leaving.
