"Bad experience for 1st visit"

About: Southmead Hospital

I had to transport my 89 year old father-in-law to Southmead Hospital for an Outpatient Appointment. I found the signs in the hospital grounds to be misleading especially for disabled parking and drop off. We were waved past the main entrance area and followed the signs for drop off point, expecting to find a lay-by near the main entrance. However, the drop off point is the main multi-story car park. We then parked the car and walked back to the hospital main entrance following the yellow dots. The walk took a least 10 minutes and this took its toll on my father-in-law. When we got to the main entrance we were told there is a Shuttle Bus but again there is a Shuttle Bus sign but no explanation that it is for patient's use and where it goes. Come on Southmead get your act together you have been up and running long enough now. Once inside the hospital the appointment was achieved and have no complaints on the treatment received.
