Removal of Lump in Plam of Right-Hand Palm:- From the moment, I was greeted by the Nurse, shortly after my arrival to the moment I was collected and taken away by friends, my treatment and the way things were explained to me by the anaesthetist and the surgeon, was all staggeringly superb. Now 54 hours after having my palm and part of my right forearm being sliced open to get to the very tricky lump, embedded as it was between miniscule tendons and nerves, etc, I am, inspite of not having taken the recommended painkillers I was supplied with, waiting for the first twinge of pain. My guess it is not going to happen. From start to finish (and beyond I am sure), real and tender care, the sort one received as a child from one's parents, if one was lucky enough to have such parents. I have little doubt that my experience is similar to that which my fellow-patients in the Day Surgery Unit received.
