"Student Nurse. Frederick Salomon Ward"

I am a relative of a patient that recently stayed on Frederick Salmon Ward and I am posting this review on their behalf and my personal experience. We were both delighted with all aspects of care from Nursing to Medical. The food was always a decent portion and served hot. The ward was clean and a warm welcoming atmosphere was felt at all time. Whilst visiting over time I observed a first year Student Nurse. I really want to thank him from our whole family. He is truly an example of what Nursing is all about. Always compassionate treating each person as an individual and showing respect for dignity He was always involved communicating with patients in the bay and talking with family/friends visiting. At the same time he showed courage by challenging other staff in relation to infection control but also done in a nice way. The nurse was straight forward honest, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. In relation to my relative the nurse made him feel important cared for and not just a patient. As a Nurse Manager with 30 years experience it was nice to observe a Student Nurse and be able to say so many positive things. I felt proud to be a Nurse. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard on Frederick Salmon Ward.
