"my first visit and my last"

About: Boston Urgent Treatment Centre / Out of hours service

An appointment was made for me after I rang 111 as I was uncomfortable after surgery the day before. My appointment was scheduled for 8.50 I arrived slightly early and was told with a bad attitude the appointment had been made with the wrong department. So I asked what I should do now to get the help I needed and was told I had to go back to the exact same desk to make a new appointment? People came and wentuntol someone who'd arrived after I had was taken in after only waiting about 20 minutes. My driver and I both flipped having been messef about with and asked how long I had to wait and was told not long.Enentually I was called in a few notes taken and put in a cubicle with the words from the nurse that it was a bit of a wait. I sat and waited, waited and waited some more. Bring diabetic by now I was getting thirsty so went of to find some water. The nurding staff were doing what they had been doing most of the time I been there. Having been treated in hospitals in Surrey and Middlesex the attitude of the staff at Pilgrim hospital needs attention as the sort of attitude would stand up in Amy other area. I was appalled. Eventually after approaching a wait of nearly 2 hours I was so disgusted I left without receiving any treatment. If there is ever a need for me to attend a hospital again I will ensure I go in the other direction to Kings Lynn. Pilgrim hospital not a good example for NHS, what a shame that one hospital can bring the name of NHS to this level.
