Day surgery unit in Telford is the best I have been too and restored my faith after a terrible experience in dsu at Shrewsbury in February which,on reflection, I definately should have complained about. Anyway back to the positives about Telford. The staff in Telford are much more of a 'team', clearly very happy in their work and nothing was too much trouble. They are very organised and know exactly what's going on at all times. Very 'on the ball'. At the end of my stay the ward sister even took the time to walk me out of the building and made sure I was ok getting to the car. Completely end of the scale compared to Shrewsbury who booted me out when I couldn't even walk still after the anaesthetic. Very impersonal service and poor communication skills at Shrewsbury. I will be sending a personal thank you to the staff at Telford who looked after me yesterday as the service blew me away. Thank you! (I have ticked don't know by department as dsu wasn't available).
"Great experience yesterday in DSU."
