I visited the department with my son who was having some problems and was due to go to work. He was afraid of losing his job and as it was a weekend his GP was not available. He was seen within twenty minutes, the doctor was very thorough, completed some tests and an examination and treated him with antibiotics. He managed his short shift at work and felt much better the following day on the medication. He was advised to see his own GP for a follow-up and further investigations. My son was very happy with his treatment. the only negative comment that I have is that the light-up sign in the waiting room states that the waiting time may be up to 2 hours, this was obviously not the case, I have been told that this sign is reglarly lit whether or not there is a long waiting time. This is inappropriate.
