My son age 26 years went in to Wrightington hospital for his hip replacement surgery. The care and attention he got was second to none and a big thank your to everyone concerned.
The only concern / complaint I have is that he was the only patient being administered pain relief (morphine) via a syringe driver, I felt that he should have been the first patient to be attended to on the drug round. Unfortunately this was not the case and during his stay he had to wait until all the other patients had been given there medication before he was attended to. This meant that his syringe driver had finished and he was without pain relief. If this practice could be changed for the next time a patient is being administered pain relief this way that will be a great improvement.
Other than that congratulations and well done to all the staff on the ward for their excellent nursing and support care!
"Well done to all the staff"
