What I liked
The care and attention given before my operation by the anaesthetic team and nurses, and afterwards when complications arose post operatively.
The ward assistants and support workers were always cheery and friendly and helped me enormously whilst I was on the ward recovering.
What could be improved
The communication between medical and nursing staff - as I wasn't expected to stay overnight, when I requested pain relief it took a long time to arrive.
The attitude of one student nurse could have been more friendly.
The consultant was fairly abrupt and didn't really explain what had happened when I came round from the complication.
