My wife spent 5 weeks in hospital for what was supposed to be a couple of days treatment. I had to submit 4 written complaints before we finally got the matter resolved. The whole episode was very distressing. I have since had a written response which was extremely weak and failed to confirm any improvements had been made.. I ought to respond to the letter but feel that it would only fall on deaf ears. It is not the front line nursing staff who are at fault. They are overstretched. The operational side of the hospital appears to be a shambles.
