My father was a patient on ward 18 with a serious condition. He never felt he could actually speak to a member of staff as they where either in and out of the room very quickly, or messing around (dark blue uniform). He was once woken up by a member of staff discussing there last holiday.
One nurse appeared like they did not know what they were doing and any question was an effort for them to answer, and said a small prescription error could not be fixed (early afternoon) until the following day. We had to keep prompting for pain killers all the time. It appeared that some of the staff we came into contact with were moody and did not want to help.
