"Amazing GI surgical and ACAD team"

5 weeks ago I had a large ventral hernia repair done. I was extremely nervous as my first attempt of this op at a different hospital was a mess and I became very unwell afterwards. The nurse attached to my surgical team was lovely. She kept me updated every hour. All of the pre op checks were through and they respected my wishes to be awake for the op. Most surgeons would tell me no. The op itself was a long one but I felt calm the entire time and reassures by the team. Post op care was amazing. If I pressed the buzzer within minutes someone was there to assist. Obs were done regularly and on time. I was given loads of info on discharge and plenty of dressing changes. My post op check was on time and went well too. I can't thank the GI team enough. They have given me back my.mobility and I am now pain free. I will be forever grateful. Thank you central mid ACAD for looking after me so well. Keel it up.
