I was told there was a 60 minute wait to be seen in the Urgent Care Centre to have potentially broken ribs examined. I waited 2 hours and 15 minutes with no update on waiting times. I understand that patients will be seen based on the severity of their injuries, but I saw several people come in after me with seemingly minor injuries who were seen very quickly. That aside, would it not make sense to implement a maximum waiting time in the urgent care centre given that the cases referred there are not life threatening or even particularly distressing to many of the patients? As it is, I left without being seen (I wasn't the only one) and will have to advise myself of what is best to do with potentially broken ribs.
