"no rest"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Why after a very stressful day is it that 1, it takes,a,Dr over 4hrs to make a decision/come and see me.2, after a very late drip and finally able to rest am woken up at 2.50am for jobs! 3. After that intrusion can't get back to sleep because the noise staff make chatting ,opening and closing cupboards/drawers loudly. All the staff are lovely and seem busy but can they please give the patients the rest they need!!!!

Dear Colin Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your stay at Wexham Park Hospital. I am pleased to hear that the staff are lovely, and that you have given 5 stars but I share your concern over the noise at night and allowing patients to rest. Noise at night is an area for our improvement and we are planning an awareness campaign to ensure our patients get enough rest. Due to your clinical condition it may have been essential to take your observations during the night, this should be explained as to the reason why and I apologise if this did not happen in your case. If you can email me on claire.marshall@hwph-tr.nhs.uk with your ward details I can make sure your feedback is given directly to the ward matron and shared with the staff. This helps us to make improvements on a local level really quickly. I hope, if you are still an inpatient that you feel able to speak with the nurse in charge/ward matron to raise any other concerns you have or contact me directly. Kind Regards Claire Marshall Associate Director of Patient Experience and Public Involvement Assocuiate
