Myself and my partner have been trying for a baby for a long time, I have been through painful procedures and some life changing distress leaving us no other choice but IVF. We are desperate to start a family, However, it seems if you are slightly out of their weight ratio regardless of your conditions (including pco and endo which makes weight loss tricky) you are to be shamed and spoken to like unworthy time wasters. Infertility is an emotional and vulnerable experience I would have assumed a Dr would know this and excesice tact when dealing with sensitive issues. I was basically threatened and belittled for being just out of the weight boundary. Given the choice I'd go somewhere else for my treatment after this heartbreaking experience. I can accept my weight needs to come down, but to be spoken to in such a patronising manner has made the journey a whole lot harder. Encouragement and solutions would be nice. But basically a "get out your too fat" was how I felt I was treated. Also the phone system is awful! I tried for three days to postpone as I knew my weight maybe too high, but as I could never get through and was passed from line to line and always cut off. I believed it was best to just go along and see what happened, what a mistake that was.
"Spoken to like a disobedient child."
