We came to the childrens emergency department on Sunday 31st August with our daughter at around 10.30 am. She had her thumb closed in a door by her sister. We were staying in a hotel in Swindon but don't actually live here we live in the Isle of wight. My daughters thumb was a real mess. We were seen very quickly and treated with respect and support by the 2 nurses we saw. One of the nurses went out if her way to help us, we were originally meant to take our daughter to Oxford to see a plastic surgeon but after speaking to this nurse about how hard this would be for us who was going home to the Isle of wight that day she arranged for us to go to Salisbury. The two nurses helped bandage my daughters hand many times and gave us some supplies to get home with. They were truly fantastic and a real help .... thank you x x x
