After visiting my GP I was directed to attend A & E with a letter, from being assessed in A & E , I was then transferred to ward C 35 for further assessment after numerous tests I was admitted to Ward C 31 , 4 days later after a C T scan I was diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism and started on Warfarin, after a total of 8 nights in Hospital I was discharged to attend Ward C 31 on a daily basis for blood tests until my INR reached a certain level. I must commend the nurses in their very difficult job in obtaining the blood from my veins which are very difficult to find. I found the entire Sunderland Royal Staff , Nurses and Doctors to be very professional and the care I received very good. its easy to knock the NHS these days but I found the service I received to be 1st class at the end of the day I am on the road to recovery and thank every one involved in my care.
