Review for the LGH... I wanted to take the time to put a heart felt review on here for the Maternity Unit of the LGH... Right up until the day I want into labour the appointments and visits that we attended at the unit were always necessary, effective and positive outcomes - whether it was for advice, specific help or to keep well on top of everything. Arriving with contractions at the Birth Centre me and my Husband were given professional advice, support and help/care - options too, which we decided for ourselves. The birth plan went completely out of the window and by the end of the long labour I think the three of us had experienced almost every procedure and medication/pain relief. Along the way we encountered lots of members of staff from specific departments...the Midwives, Consultants, anaesthetists, surgeons and nurses...all of these mentioned went above and beyond and made me feel safe and reassured throughout. Although the labour was very physically enduring and tiring there was always constant support and help. I truly appreciate everyone that helped me...in particular the Midwives in the Birth Centre and all staff in W130. Eternally grateful, The Grimadell Family
