"Neurosurgical Follow Up"

The care received from nursing and medical staff of the neurosurgical team was excellent. Unfortunately 5 months post spinal surgery I have yet to receive an outpatient appt, despite being advised I needed a 6 week follow-up and neither myself or my GP have received a discharge letter five months post discharge. Now I have deterioration in mobility and function post op with the return of severe chronic pain and I have basically been left to cope alone as neurosurgeons will not see you without a re-referral.
