"Staff have made my stay here that bit better"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Rehabilitation service King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have a muddle of conditions including p. o. t. s a generally unheard of illness. Whilst in hospital I lost sensation in my lower body due to my illnesses. I have been referred by the unit at Lauriston House to have tests, scans and a calliper for my leg to aid my walking. They also sorted a wheelchair of my own and assisted me to move property as my house wasn't able to be adapted for my needs now I'm moving to a sheltered housing complex with my daughter of 12years (special permission granted). The staff here are always happy and sometimes they even sing for us; -) they have made my stay here that bit better for me allowing my daughter to spend time with me just the two of us. And meeting another worker here with the same conditions helped me to understand my conditions that bit better thanks guys I will certainly miss you. XXXX

Thank you for taking the time to post your experiences while staying at Lauriston House on the Patient Opinion website.

I am pleased that the staff have supported you, during what must have been a very difficult time for both you and your daughter. Clearly Bromley Healthcare will need to harness their singing abilities in a variety of ways as we move into the Autumn!

I hope that you will settle in quickly into your new home and that, if needed, Bromley Healthcare can support you in the future.
