Have been visiting the orthopaedic outpatients for around 4 years now yet it has taken till now for any action to be decided even thought the consultant doesn't recommend it, but for this action to be taken I must be referred by my GP even though I am visiting a consultant at the hospital. I will not be mentioning any names within the following:7 Doctor no. 1 - Told me I would have to be an idiot to have it removed and would result in losing my toe. This doctor also told me I had a harmless liquid lump which can be drained and never explained anything to me fully had to go back to my GP to get this explained. Doctor no. 2 - Told me I had a tumour which would need to be investigated further to determine whether it was cancerous, 3 years later still awaiting the appointment for investigation. Doctor no. 3 - Told me the previous was all incorrect and all I need to do is monitor it for growth and come back next year. Doctor no. 4 - Told me to have it removed but said it was not advisable, but yet he is still sending me for the OP, but I have to go back to my GP to get referred. This doctor seemed to know straight away it was non-cancerous without any tests. Two of these doctors have told me to ignore other comments and they were right, now I don't know who to believe feel like I've bet let down even though I have never pestered any doctors constantly but only when I need them. Nothing seems to be consistent taken 4 years and 4 doctors to tell me that it needs to be removed.
