About: William Harvey Hospital

I came to Outpatients in WHH on 13 August and have three comments. I could not see a "you are here" arrow on the the site-map near the bus stop. I'm unfamiliar with the hospital and it took me some time to figure out where I was. Walking is an issue for me and I did not want to waste my energy going to the wrong place. I guess there must be duplicate maps in different locations throughout the hospital and it would help to have an orientation mark on each. City tourist maps do this. Having had coffee in one of the cafes I couldn't find a bin in which to put my cardboard cup and food packaging. I was not alone because similar detritus, including half-eaten food, was piled on a table which held the wooden cup stirrers and various condiments for people to use with their purchases. This not only looked dreadful but is particularly inappropriate in an institution where hygiene and infection control are so important. I was surprised to see how few hand sanitisers there were. I appeared to be the only one using them. Why isn't 'Outpatients' on your list of departments?
