Having been convinced by my 'local' consultant to have a radical prostatectomy, I elected Addenbrookes as my preferred choice of hospital and after a pre-assessment was passed as suitable for the Robotic process which was conducted on February 27th 2014. Throughout pre-op, during and post operative processes, support has been absolutely brilliant having been operated on by a super team plus a 'robot' (de Vinci). I could not have wished for a better 'visit' and support under the circumstances and would like to thank the team in the Urology Department for their care and support during the whole process and since. At 68 years old and being my first operation since tonsils removal as a child of 5 years old - I did not know what to expect and was extremely pleased in the manner in which everything was explained to me to put me at ease. Many thanks to all of the team.
