"Breast care unit"

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Although it was a traumatic diagnosis the entire assessment and treatment process was fantastic. The initial assessment appointment included a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy to ensure an accurate diagnosis. The radiology were great fun and really put me at ease as well as being extremely professional. This was done on a one stop shop which dramatically reduced stress. The diagnosis was relayed to me in a sympathetic and caring way and I was given ample time with a breast care nurse to discuss my concerns. Surgery was performed as a day case and again it was caring but efficient. The ward was clean and friendly. My only complaint is the waiting times in out pts and the car parking charges but the clinical care is excellent
