I sent the email below to PALS. It was then forwarded to the CEO, Ward Manager and the Hotel Services Manager. The CEO asked that I send a copy to Hospital Reviews. "I stayed in the MSS ward at the RUH Bath from 20-27th June 2014. I had an unspecified bacterial infection and was thus in one of the side rooms of the ward. I write to say that I cannot praise enough all the staff with whom I made contact. Every one of them was professional in conduct, competent, diligent and above all cheerful. They all worked so hard as a team, this was quite obvious to me as a patient Nothing was ever too much trouble. I slept erratic hours during my stay and it was so much appreciated that if I missed meal times or my light was on at night one of the staff would come and talk to see how I was feeling. Please let the kitchen staff know that all the meals were great. Home made soups were very good indeed! I feel saddened by all the bad publicity that NHS and Bath Royal United Hospital receive and would like you to know that for the time I spent at the RUH the care was faultless. I thank them all.
