"My experience at the RD Lawrence Ward"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Diabetic medicine

(as the patient),

Whilst its not nice being in hospital in general it has been good here. The worst thing about being here is that there are multiple teams who come to see you and they don't seem to communicate well. Each team tells you different things which can get confusing. Having the handover at your bedside is good because I get a clearer idea of what is going on. It is hard to hear clearly sometimes as I am deaf.

I don't like the bed I'm in, its a bit isolated in the corner. The toilets are really bad, they smell of urine and I've been told its because there is no ventilation but there is no ventilation in my bathroom at home and it doesn't smell! It makes me feel sick and nauseous. The food has been lovely- I've been quite surprised. The nurses and doctors are all very pleasant.
