"fantastic care from 111 and the ambulance medics"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as the patient),

Last Thursday I was taken ill, it was in the evening when my own GP surgery was closed so I had to call 111 for advice.

The young man who took my call was very sympathetic and kind, took all my details and then sent an ambulance round to see me.

The three medics who came in the ambulance were marvellous; the speed at which they came was fantastic. They were all so very nice.

If anyone has a bad word to say about the 111 service or the ambulances send them to me and I’ll punch them on the nose!

Dear Lawn229

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope you are recovering well.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most. I am glad to hear that you are very happy with the service you received.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto the 111 call taker and ambulance crew who came to your aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the address that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify all the staff involved in your care.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards
