About: Alder Hey Children's Hospital

My son had accident waited 10 hours for 3 blood tests and xray in total didnt mind if other children were in need of more urgent treatment . Doctors were lovley. Hospital lovley and clean. Some of nurses and especially hcas lacked basic yskills on how to comfort a frightened child and worried parents or how to deal with family memebers who were stressed and not getting along due to circumstances . We were told our whispering was to loud it was disturbing patients when we had to sit next to a lady in cubicle having full argument down her mobile phone over her methadone I thought mobiles were not allowed ? This is great hospital but over my last few visit s some of nursing staff just seem rude while doctors I could not fault in anyway the plaster room staff were excellent thank you alder hey !
