I was admitted as an emergency to the ward, after having 2 fits in 24 hours. nurses tried there best, but some of then nurses was understaffed, had fantastic old school matron on the ward couple of times during the week on day shift, but when she was not working stansted slipped a lot & nurses txting there friends. I was in the old part of hospital, for 3wks, sometimes only got 3 cups of tea in 24 hrs. The old patient in the bed to me was in their late 80's who normally mobile with help at home, was mostly bed ridden, their was no hospital radio available, no newspaper were available to buy, got offer couple a tea sometimes at 11,30pm before the light out, i was in a ward with a lot of really elderly patients, 11,30.pm was far to late, no access to fresh air was available even thou it was a secure ward, i.e (tilt window), best thing bring back matron on wards, i was in a semi coma, for 24 hours, went to see neurologist out patents in june , had a different neurologist she did not have a clue on that i had eeg 2 months early with hosp had set me, and ask me if i was on my old meds, and ask me how to spell my my new meds when the notes was all in my file which could could ot be bother to look at, she said i contact your gp instead, in 24 hrs
