I must say that I have received the best maternity care I could possibly wish for!
At 29 weeks of pregnancy I was diagnosed with OC (Obstetric Cholestatis) and went into early labour. They managed to stop the labour and the care I received with foetal monitoring as there was a higher risk of stillborn was second to none. I went for a minimum of twice weekly check ups on ADU and the midwives were sensational. Jo, Ann and Sarah were brill, recognised me straight away, and I built a good rapport with them.
The doctors were out of this world particularly Dr Ravi! His manner and care were amazing, again I built up a fantastic rapport and would often bump into him in the hospital and he knew who I was and would ask me how, me and the baby were doing! At 35 + 6 weeks the lovely doctor (sorry no name but I think she was African and wore a headscarf) said I needed to be induced the next day as things had got more dangerous for baby, the next day I was brought in and induced, again the midwives on Delivery were amazing, I never felt I had received nothing but the top level of care.
In the end I had a student midwife Sian (monitored by Charlotte) deliver our beautiful baby girl and both the midwives had a high level of care and etiquette, I can't thank them enough. I was then moved to Mat 2 and looked after by student midwives, who helped me with breastfeeding and post natal care, again top marks!
The Maternity services were above and beyond and I would highly recommend for anyone having a baby. I would also like to pass on my many many thank yous to everyone who helped with the care of myself and my little girl .
I'm eternally grateful! Thank You
