Having had three outpatient appointments I was omitted on Monday 7/7/14 at 5pm and had my operation at 7.30pm the same evening. The nurse who was looking after me and getting me ready for my operation was of the highest standard and put me at ease. The nurse stayed with me while the Anaesthetist explaimed the operation to me and what he would be doing. I was taken to the operating theatre. I was taken back to my room and made very comfortable. The nurse on night duty who looked after me during the night again was very profesional, caring and also treat me with the uptmost dignity. I was discharged on the Wednesday evening at 5:15 pm Sadly I returned back to the hospital at 6;30pm. I phoned the Hospital at 6:10pm and spoke to reception and told them my problem. The on duty sister spoke to me and after telling her on my problem said that I need to come straight back to the Hospital. I was taken back by my sister. On arrival I was met by the sister and a nurse who put me in a wheel chair and took me straight to a room where a Doctor was also waiting. I was immediately given scan and other checks. I was treated and was under constant care. by 9:30pm I was feeling much better. I was allowed to go back home and left the Hospital at 10;00pm. Every person that I can into contact at North Downs Hospital treated me very profesionally and I cannot praise them enough. If i have the need to ever have to go into Hospital then I will be choosing Northdowns. Thank you to my Consultant, the nursing all the other staff I came into contact during my short stay.
