This is my second visit to the Endoscopy Department which was on the 1st July 201 and still was apprehensive of what to expect, a little scared and worried about the procedure and outcome of the investigation. The procedure and investigation on this occasion was entirely different from my last visit. Immediately on arrival I was seen by the receptionist, then at my appointment time I was called through to the department by the admission nurse, she was very informative, explained the procedure and tried to relay any fears or concerns that I may have. The next stage was in the clinical room, were I was greeted by 4 staff, still worried, scared and felt uncomfortable for several reasons. What a fantastic team, Very smart, efficient and professional, made me feel relax, even without having a sedative, being very informative, throughout the whole of the procedure. The finale stage was the recovery and discharge area, once again thank you to the discharge nurse once again very efficient and explained the relevant discharge documents A faultless department, Well organised, Quality of care throughout was excellent and you all are a credit to your profession and the Queens Hospital. My observation also noticed the high standard of cleanliness, a credit to the Domestic Services This department should be used as an example of how a clinical department should be organised and managed. Many thanks Barry
"Excellent Care and treatment"
