Very disappointed with my experience in the orthopaedic clinic. A consultant should take the time to listen to their patients and allow them to ask questions about the care and treatment. I left feeling quite stressed, angry and feeling it was a waste of time attending. I understand that the department is quite busy, but levels of care shouldn't have to suffer. My consultant spent 80% the appointment with his head in the computer with a practically non existent examination on the patient in front of him with no communication then minimal two way communication. Manners and respect doesn't have to go out of the window. It's not hard to greet patients verbally and maintain a level of eye contact. I found my consultant quite rude and patronising.
"disappointed, stressed & angry"
