"Hit and miss service"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital

Doing a 4 day stay for the birth of our child we experienced some seriously committed and professional staff, but also the opposite. The standard is hit and miss and the overall theme is a poor lack of organisation and communication and constantly promising things and then being late or forgetting. No other place is the sentence "sorry but we are (or were) really used more consistently". My own observations are unqualified but I'm guessing they are no more busy than most other companies or government services but here there are no consequences for not doing what's been promised or agreed. That means they end up creating more work for themselves and making some problems worse. I'm all for public health care but someone needs to help them get more efficient for the benefit of their patients and the majority of their staff who are top notch. In the meantime we will go private or try with another hospital which might be better managed.
