my mum was taken into A&E on the 4th june this year with pneumonia she also had the late stages of Alzheimers and osteoporosis. We were asked as a family what we thought about stopping her treatment as this was the 3rd time with pneumonia, my family and I agreed that it wasn't right for her to carry on suffering. She was treated with the utmost dignity and respect and the sisters in charge were fantastic especially one of the younger ones there was nothing too much trouble for her to do for myself and my family. It didn't matter how many times I asked her about anything to do with my mums condition she always answered me as honestly as she could, all those nurses and staff on ward 20 were truly Angels without wings and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all from the bottom of my heart for all the care they gave to my mum at a very difficult time. These nurses have such a hard job and people don't realise how special these human beings are, well I for one am very very grateful that my mums last days on this earth were as painless as was humanly possible, she sadly passed away on the 10th june just 6 days after being admitted, take good care of your nurses how they deserve the way they take care of others. Thankyou so very much. Mrs Carol Hogg
