I was admitted to Leicester Royal Infirmary on a late friday night with a severe E.coli infection, sometime saturday morning I was transferred to I think ward 15 where I was treated extremely well and on Saturday evening I was moved to the Fielding Johnson ward. The ward struck me as being an old style Victorian ward and I would think the nature of most of the patients made things challenging but the staff were absolutely wonderful at all times. They all seemed to work together with real dedication and kept smiling through everything that was thrown at them. The food was surprisingly good and regularly served and nothing seemed to be too difficult for all the staff there. I was kept informed about my own situation regularly right up until I was discharged the following Wednesday. Being in Hospital is obviously not a pleasure due to the fact you are ill but the Staff of the Fielding Johnson award did everything possible to make it comfortable. I was only supposed to be staying in the area for one night as I am from Cambridge but I was most reassured by the support I received, a Big thankyou to everyone there. One Nurse in particular was simply outstanding she is simply awesome and a total credit to her profession.
