"ambulances can't get though traffic"

About: Southmead Hospital

I had to take a work colleague to Southmead after an accident. Next time I will go to bath it will be quicker. There were ambulances with flashing blue lights unable to get though the traffic on southmead road because parked cars were parked everywhere. A 2 mile journey took 35 mins which in an emergency situation can't be good. The new hospital night have new shiny wards but not a lot of help if your stuck in an ambulance and can't get there.

Dear Anonymous, thank you for your comments about your recent experience travelling to Southmead Hospital. I’m sorry to hear the journey took so long. We continue to support our staff, patient and visitors to use greener forms of transport, in particular to use public transport. We liaise with our neighbours in Southmead and work with local transport providers to ensure further improvements to the journey to the hospital. I hope that any future journeys you make to Southmead hospital are not similarly hampered. Kind Regards – Steve Sykes Advice and Complaints Team
