I had a carpal tunnel release in May. I was seen quickly and efficiently and explainations were given throughout. I am a staff nurse myself of over thirty years so being on the other side of the fence as it were, is a different experience! The staff were great and being first on the list I left the hospital an hour and a half later. My only complaint is that my operation date was moved three times which meant I had to jiggle my own work and appointments around. However i am now well on the road to recovery and think Southlands Hospital is a friendly and welcoming hospital with none of carparking hassles and frenetic nature of other hospitals.
