My son was an emergency admission to WArrington General with appendicitis on a Sunday evening. STaff at A and E were very helpful and informative and he was seen relatively quickly. The surgical staff that reviewed him were thorough, approachable and in no way patronising. Although he was anxious they put him at his ease. The team operated on him the next day and the operation was a success. He then had approximately six hours of care on Ward A6 where the nurse dealing with him was lovely. Then came a quick discharge which meant he could be cared for at home... just what we wanted.
