What I liked

I have been to the Royal Oldham on numerous occasions with my son, who is on direct admissions for the Children's Ward. I have to say that on each occasion we have been treated excellently. The nursing staff, cleaners, auxillary staff, doctors etc are wonderful and work so hard. We had to stay for a couple of days on the ward and I must say I felt comfortable and our son got lots of attention (which he enjoyed). The doctors took notice of what me and my husband had to say and realised that we knew more about our son's condition than they did! Which was excellent because it meant we were discharged earlier than we thought. I cannot thank the staff enough on F3 for all their care and attention. One nurse even remembered our son from when we were transferred from St. Mary's in Manchester, nearly 6 months ago! Now that is care!

What could be improved

Parking (as most people have mentioned).

We apologise for the difficulties you have experienced relating to car parking. We are entering into new arrangements for off site parking space for staff which should alleviate some of the problems for visitors to The Royal Oldham Hospital site.
