What I liked
I was recently seen three times as an outpatient in the Opthalmology Clinic at Luton and Dunstable Hospital and would like to say how impressed I was with the general friendliness of all the staff I met. I was particularly impressed with the way in which they treated all patients with respect and politeness.
Everyone I met was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful - from the two receiptionists in the Eye Clinic to the Consultant and his team of doctors and nurses. On my first visit, I did get rather lost and was most impressed that a nurse was sent out to find me!
I am very satisfied with the treatment and care I received and have now been discharged.
What could be improved
In general, I was very satisfied with the whole experience at the L and D.
The only comment I would make is that patients could be given a little more information as to what would be happening to them during their visit to the clinic.
They might also be given an information sheet about their condition if it is appropriate.
