What I liked
The expertise of the consultants and their fellow doctors is second to none. Additionally the consultants and senior doctors treated me with respect and in a friendly and informal way which I found reassuring.
The theatre staff were highly efficient.
Huge improvement in the cleanliness of the hospital.
What could be improved
On the ward, some of the nursing and support staff were very unhelpful, some rude. One failed to carry out the instructions of a doctor. Some were very helpful and friendly. A huge imbalance therefore.
Anything else?
Illnesses other than that to which the admission related were not given sufficient consideration, I suspect down to the fact that booking in left a lot to be desired. If the nursing staff knew about other conditions they did not pay due regard to them. This could be potentially dangerous.
Inadequate (lack of) advice given upon departure.
