What I liked
I have been a patient at the hospital for 15 moths now. I have been particularly struck by efficiency, helpfulness and reliability of the administrative and support staff. But I havve found all staff almost without exception to be supportive, helpful and most importantly accessible. When I had a heart attack in the middle of my radiotherapy the Consultant Radiologist rang me to see how I was! I have found that I am listened to by everybody from Proffessors down and have been grateful for the efforts made by all proffessions to explain what they are doing and what was happening.
What could be improved
Disabled parking is very restricted, I was having to get to the hospital up to hour before an appointment to get parked. Though I must say the parking attendant in the car park in front of the tower is the most cheerful and helpful person you could ever wish to meet. If you have restricted mobility rather than a wheelchair there are long stretches with nowehere to sit and what about a buggy service around the main departments in the hospital.
Anything else?
Thank you to everyone at Guys that has made adifficult time in my and my family's a lot easier
