What I liked
Continuity of care by the midwives, there was always someone there if I had a question or needed something. Also I had been worried about going in too early and being sent home, so when I asked to stay at the hospital they gave me a room to rest in until I was able to have an epidural. The midwife who delivered my daughter was wonderfully supportive, ensuring that everything was explained to me and my husband when the baby had difficulty during the labour, she fought for me to have a natural delivery when the doctor started insisting that I have a C-section,and I was able to have a natural delivery. Additionally, my daughter developed strepB and we had to stay in hospital on the Transitional ward for a week, and even at 3 in the morning there was someone there to take the baby off my hands so that I could get some rest, and they were very reassuring during the first 2 days when the baby seemed to be getting more poorly. Overall, I could not fault them for anything, and they deserve huge credit for the efforts of all the doctors, midwives and pediatricians there.
