"Renal Dept"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

My husband has been under the above department for over 32 years and we can only give high praise for treatment received and all the staff. There is always someone at the end of the phone if you are worried or concerned about your health etc and it is never too much trouble for them to reply to any query. He has the utmost respect and trust for all in the department including Marlowe Ward where he has also been an inpatient. We cannot understand the negative comments.

Response from Julie Pearce, Chief Nurse + Director of Quality + Operations, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback, really appreciated. I will ensure the renal service team see the positive comments you have made about your husband's experience. A 32 year experience is a very long time, and it is a real privilege for us to provide a local service for our local communities. The renal service is providing leading edge care, with really good clinical outcomes for our patients. Glad to see how much it is appreciated.
