I had a team of midwives and nurses around me at all times who, despite their exceptional knowledge and skill level didn't think twice about running around after my every need with a smile. Whoever oversees the recruitment amongst the maternity team obviously insists on people who share an ethos of caring as well as medical and technical expertise.
